My Take – There is a problem in today’s society.  Recent events have divided people with no room for compromise by either side.  There is no absolute “right” and no “absolute” wrong.  Everything is personal perspective and fixing the problem will never be resolved with adults setting new standards daily, for insolence and stubbornness.

From Page 10 of Winning Without Winning.  “That begs the question of why we create situations that escalate through anger, necessitating an umpire’s drastic interventions.  It matters very little who is right and who is wrong.  Do we want to teach our children that ranting and raving is the best way to handle anger?”

Make no mistake about it, adult actions are exactly what the children are learning and until that learning cycle is changed, this current problem in today’s society will continue generation after generation.

The world is a scary place right now and it doesn’t have to be.  The answer is in the children --- What do we want to teach our children?
